diy: iPod Halloween Costume (plus other creative costumes).

If you're like me, I generally wait until the last minute for things. David and I were asked to come to a costume party for the Pop Shop and to play games with the kids and just love on 'em all night. We were excited! But what were we going to wear? After perusing the web for a bit, I came across a fun template idea for an iPod costume! And since they had both white and black, I figured that would be perfect. I only spent about $20 total (maybe less) for both, and they took an hour maximum to make! Plus, the kids really loved it.

What you need:
Black iPod:
-Two black posterboard
-White Chalk
-This template
White iPod:
-Two white posterboard
-Black Sharpie
-This template
----------------
Make sure the posterboard is thick and can endure strings hanging from them for hours
-Hole puncher
-String or yarn
-Two plates or other objects that can make circles
-Glue
-Scissors
-Printer

What to do:
-Round the sides of the posterboard
-Punch two holes on each side
Make sure they are in the middle, pretty close together
-Print off the template and glue the objects to the "back" of your iPod (I had to look at a picture of an iPod to make sure I was doing it correctly)
-Draw a large circle on the "front" of your iPod. Then draw a smaller circle inside that one. I used two different sized plates for this.
Start with a pencil always! When you get it the way you want, then go over it with the white or black marker
-Glue the other parts of the template in between the circles. (The menu, fast forward, rewind and pause/play ones)
-Make a screen. I just compared it to a regular iPod to see how big it needed to be.
-When your iPod is finished, tie string between the front and back holes, so they hold together. Remember to keep the string relatively short so it looks like your body is the iPod!
-Wear it and rock it!
