So, I'm excited because:
1) It's October! Once it hits October, life gets better. I love the weather here at this time of year- it's our saving grace. 70 degree weather is fall for Floridians. We may not get change of seasons, or snowflakes, or any sign of it being fall at all, but when the weather drops to 80 or below, we get super excited. It's no longer unbearable and I can actually stand outside for longer than 10 minutes. So yay!!
2) We are going to Texas Wednesday morning! We are seeing my amazing little brother, Jeremy, graduate from Air Force Basic Training! Jeremy is my best friend. We are 20 months apart so we grew up very close, and were sometimes even mistaken for twins. When I left Colorado to move here, the hardest part was being away from him. We talked about everything together. We did everything together. I had to adjust to life without my brother and sister. Needless to say, I'm still adjusting because I miss them both so much. Buttt in three days I will see them!!! :)
In other recent news...
I really love these kids.
After watching them for about 14 months, they've really started to become my family.
I know it will be hard for me one day when I have to say goodbye,
but the experience and knowledge I have gained is going to carry on to my children one day.
David and I took a spur-of-the-moment beach trip last weekend. We went to Daytona and walked around the boardwalk. We were soaking wet from running through the kiddie fountains
so I didn't take my camera along. But I got these pre-beach shots:
It's hard to believe we have already been married 2 years (next month)! Where does the time go?
Remodeling some of the rooms in our condo. It has been 2 years now since David moved into our lovely abode. But at first, it was seriously ugly. I couldn't take it. Looking back on how far it has come is really great for me. Each room still needs a lot of work before I feel like it will be worthy (I'm a perfectionist) but they have come far!
This is our guest bedroom. The theme we are trying to accomplish in there is New York/Modern/Black White and Red. As far as the brown headboard... it annoys me everyday. I think I'm going to spray paint it black, as well as the desk. David loves black and brown together, but I feel like you should go with either black OR brown. What do you think?
This is our living room- the very first you see when you walk in. The color ended up being not what we expected. I like it, I just want to pair it with cream and lime green but David is still undecided about that idea. The ugly yellow in the kitchen just isn't doing it for me! I want the yellow GONE!
There is also our bedroom that we've taken over a lovely purple/lavender color.
We are trying to find some items to put in there though so that still is not done.
Like I said before, none of these rooms are done. I am such a perfectionist when it comes to color and projects!
Hope you all have a great week, don't know if I'll post again before Texas but you can bet there will be pictures when I get home!
